A 9,000-year vote of confidence
On 31 December 1759, Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000-year lease on St. James’s Gate in Dublin. The harp followed on bottle labels in 1862. But the Draught we know today came later: it launched in 1959, two centuries after that extraordinary commitment.
