On 31 December 1759, Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000-year lease on St. James’s Gate in Dublin. The harp followed on bottle labels in 1862. But the Draught we know today came later: it launched in 1959, two centuries after that extraordinary commitment.
The Guinness storyBrewer Michael Ash helped transform Guinness with nitrogen. It creates the distinctive cascade and fine, creamy head. The innovation continued inside Draught cans: their widget releases nitrogen when opened, bringing that familiar surge into the glass.

Guinness Draught combines roasted notes with hints of coffee and chocolate. Its famous dark colour is actually ruby red. At the bar, the two-part pour finishes the presentation.
The alcohol-free choice
Guinness 0.0 is brewed before its alcohol is removed by cold filtration. The result keeps the dark appearance, creamy head and roasted character at 0.0% ABV.
Give it a clear place on your drinks menu so guests looking for an alcohol-free stout can find it easily. Green Acres lists 24 × 44 cl cans.

Our catalogue includes a 30-litre keg for venues considering it for their lager line.
